Ambient Air Conditioning UK Ltd was established in 2004 by managing directors and brothers Guy and Ross Burke. Both Guy and Ross have developed intensive experience of air conditioning design, installation and trouble shooting with several major players in the air conditioning field, including Honeywell Linkold. Honeywell Linkold had been a major pioneer of supermarket refrigeration and had developed the basis of much of today's heat recirculation and recovery in the stores.
Air Conditioning - Engineers Approach
Partly as a result of Guy's strong installation background and Ross's strong engineering and design background, Ambient Air Conditioning tend to view projects as engineers rather than salesmen. Within Ambient Air Conditioning, Ross is responsible for system design, product selection and marketing, whilst Guy oversees the installations and maintenance.
Says Ross, " We are not seeking to grow Ambient Air Conditioning to be one of the largest air conditioning operations in the region. We do have a growth plan but we have seen several air conditioning businesses grow past the optimum size. They then become top heavy, overheads can creep up and management loses touch with the customer base.
Our plan is for controlled growth. Our business is based on giving value, dedicated commitment and expertise to our customers. We are very mindful that value is a critically important consideration and that control of all overheads and indirect costs is a major factor in this equation "
Our Own Air Conditioning Engineers
Ambient Air Conditioning uses its own teams of highly trained and committed professional engineers. Many of our air conditioning projects require detailed knowledge of specific systems for challenging applications. It would not be in our best interest, or the clients', for us to be reliant on sub-contract installers.
Varied Air Conditioning Systems
We work with a wide variety of air conditioning systems, the specification tailored to the specific client needs. These systems include:
VRF (air source), VRV/VRF (ground source), geothermal heat pumps, GHP (gas heat pumps), down flow/up flow close control systems, chilled water systems, air handling units, central DX, clean room environments, evaporative cooling, bespoke solutions, marine applications, humidifiers & de-humidifiers.
Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) Scheme
The Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme is a key part of the Government's programme to manage climate change, and is designed to encourage businesses to invest in energy-saving equipment. It provides businesses with enhanced tax relief for investments in equipment that meets published energy saving criteria.
100 per cent first-year Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA) allow the full cost of an investment in designated energy-saving plant and machinery to be written off against the taxable profits. This compares with the general rate of 20%.
